Hi all,
responses have been overwhelming, even Hamish & Andy have been joking about us! We’re trying to improve this page so more of you can list your housing requirements/ supplies. Keep registering for the e-news and we’ll keep you posted on the next event.
cheers K2 & the Earthsharing team
Speed Renting
Fast Forward to a better living environment
Next event: Our next event will be in early 2010
If you are interested in attending our first event for 2010, please register below to receive updates and secure your spot!
Essential – Register for Speed Renting (so we can fit in as many as possible!)
The Speed Renting Forum is available to look for rooms to rent, or to offer rooms for rent.
Reclaim your Saturdays and avoid the renters mad dash across the city by meeting others at a neutral venue! Have a drink and make your ideal housing situation happen. Our venue is in the heart of the share-house funkster community, so mark down the 4th tuesday of the month as your Speed Renting opportunity to test the market for places to live.

***Please note room seekers – at about half of our gigs there have been more rooms on offer than we could fill. Housing affordability crisis?!!! You know it is media warfare out there, with the property lobby trying to ‘market’ scarcity so we all pay higher rents. Now we have a regular alternative so the renting community can interact outside of the real estate monopoly.
Please register your interest so we can coordinate householders with room seekers. Make sure you tick the correct box in the rego form re whether you have a spare room to offer (householder) or you are looking for a room (room seeker). This will help us in assisting the renting community via the right people living in the right place.
First, we need you to subscribe to the e-list above. You will then receive updates on this event. The most important element – an RSVP type email will follow asking which time segment you prefer on the night (so we can fit as many people in).
The free nature of the event relies on you passing this website/ flyer/ e-news onto friends/ networks.
The more help, the better. Online promotion is the key.
Remember: Rent – dont buy in this GFC time!
It’s been great to see the feedback with a number of people having found new abodes following our events.
If you want to help us help you, be a rebel and put up a poster in your local laundrette!
Contact us – volunteers@earthsharing.org.au if you want to take us further!
Please make the most of the Speed Renting Forum to look for rooms to rent, or for those offering a place for the perfect dishwasher.
